ABOUT THE ARTIST
Elizabeth writes that she’s “…been experimenting with acrylic paints which is a new medium for me. I build up lots of thin layers, developing the image, and I have also incorporated collage elements, like book pages or newsprint. I like the surprise element of the words that show through. The landscapes are imaginary. The scenes are familiar, but unexpected, different. I think a lot about climate change...
I am originally from the East Coast, and was deeply influenced by Cape Cod scenes. I've always loved to make art and spend time in nature. Now I'm lucky to live in this beautiful part of the world--the SF Bay Area.”
